Tribute to Mom Ruta Pata Sauni - Pu'efua (by Andy Pu'efua)

I still can't believe you're gone, mom. I love you so much! You are my hero! I am who I am because of you and I want the world to know how much you cared and loved us as well as others. Even though you're physically gone, YOU will always be in my heart. Every moment we shared will be cherished and remembered. I will definitely miss your beautiful voice. Hearing you sing was the most pleasant and warming thing to me even to this day. Thank you for everything, mom! Thank you for raising and caring for me. Thank you for your never ending words of wisdom. Thank you for loving me and my brothers and sisters and THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME LIFE!!

Our lives didn't begin at birth and they won't end at death. Before we came to earth, our spirits lived with Heavenly Father who created us. We knew Him, and He knew and loved us. It was a time during which we were taught God's plan of happiness and the path to true joy. But just as most of us leave our home and parents when we grow up, God knew we needed to do the same. He knew we couldn't progress further until we experienced mortal life. So He allowed us to come to earth to experience the joy—as well as pain—of a physical body.

One thing that makes this life hard at times is that we're out of God's physical presence. Not only that, but we can't remember our pre-earth life which means we have to "walk by faith, not by sight". God didn't say it would be easy, but He promised His spirit would be there when we needed Him. Even though it feels like it sometimes, we're not alone in our journey.

Moms favorite song: "He Touched Me"

Shackled by a heavy burden, 'Neath a load of guilt and shame. Then the hand of Jesus touched me, And now I am no longer the same. He touched me, Oh He touched me, And oh the joy that floods my soul! Something happened and now I know, He touched me and made me whole. Since I met this blessed Savior, Since He cleansed and made me whole, I will never cease to praise Him, I'll shout it while eternity rolls. He touched me, Oh He touched me, And oh the joy that floods my soul! Something happened and now I know He touched me and made me whole.

From all of us: Dad, Me, Milla and kids, Adeleen and family, Sandra, Lola and family, Kelly and family, Adrian and family, Arthur, Jasmine and your baby Antoine....WE LOVE AND MISS YOU SO MUCH, MOM! TILL WE MEET AGAIN. R.I.P
